Synovial joints are diarthrotic type of joints that are flexible and highly movable. They are the most abundant type of joints in the humans. These joints are classified into hinge, plane, ball-and-socket, saddle, condylar, and pivot depending on their structure. The synovial joint possesses a joint cavity that is filled with viscous synovial fluid, articular cartilages, articular capsule, ligaments, blood vessels, and nerve fibers.
