Explanation of Solution

Set “difference()” method:

• • The Python set is used to create the unordered collection of unique objects.
• • The built-in “set()” function is used in Python to create the sets.
• • The set difference operation is used to find the elements in a set that is not present in another set.
• • The “difference ()” method in Python is used to perform the set difference operation between sets.
• • Since the difference operation is not symmetric interchanging the operand sets will produce different results.

Syntax:

In Python, the “difference ()” method can be used to find the set difference of sets as follows:

set1.difference (set2)

Program:

#create the set set1 with three character type members

set1 = set(['d', 'e', 'f'])

#create the set set2 with five character type members

set2 = set(['a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'e'])

#find the difference of set2 from set1

set3 = set2.difference(set1)

#display the difference set set3

print(set3)
