This can give rise to the possible threat of cybercrime by retail online companies. The other times the online companies may be involved with spying the user through cookies. Thus the online retail companies in order to cater to your best needs and interests and in order to gain the competitive advantage may be involved in tracking your personal data and information in order to assess your interests, buying behavior, etc. so they can understand the requirement of a customer and deliver on their interest.
