Explanation of Solution

This is an excellent exercise to practice the affirmative, negative and questions in the past. We are also reviewing the direct and indirect object pronouns.

A: Ernesto did you look for the plates?

B: No, I didn’t look for them because Miguel is looking for them.

In Spanish we don’t use any helping verb like did in English. Instead we use the past form of the verb in both questions and negative questions.
