1. Siesta es a nap that some people in Spain take after lunch. This is like a custom or tradition that is slowly disappearing in Spain due to modern life. Everybody is on the go now. There is no time for a siesta.
2. Spanish children live longer with their parents because becoming independent means the children must find a way where to live. Renting an appartment is very expensive in Spain and in most Latin American countries. Mom and dad in some cases love to have their children around. Therefore, part of it is cultural but I believe it is mostly financial in the case of Spain. In some places in Guatemala, parents like to keep their children for as long as they can. Sometimes they like to keep them even when they are already married. Later on, they give them a piece of land where they can build their house and then move on to an independent life.
