Char data type:

• A string data type is used to store a text, which is a collection of characters.
• Similarly, char data type is used to store single character which means a variable of the char data type can hold only one character.
• Declaration:

  char lastLetter;

• The character literals are enclosed in single quotation marks.
• Therefore, a string value cannot be stored in a char data type.
