Program Plan Intro

Substring:

• Substring is defined as a string within a string.
• String can also be said as the array of characters and in C# the individual characters present in a string can be accessed using the subscript notation.
• Substring method of the string object is used to retrieve a specific set of characters from a string.

Insert() method:

• This method is used to add a substring to the string and returns the string after the addition of the substring.
• Syntax:
  • stringVariable.Insert(startPos, givenString)

Remove() method:

• This method is used delete substring from the given string. This method returns the string after removing the substring.
• This can be done in two ways:
  • stringVariable.Remove(startPos): This step deletes the substring starting from the index number specified as “startPos”.
  • stringVariable.Remove(startPos, count): This step deletes the substring starting from the index number specified as “startPos” but stops as the number of deleted elements reaches the count mentioned in “count”.
