Introduction:

The part of the brain involved in the emotional state are the hypothalamus and limbic system. The limbic system forms a ring around the brain stem as they have forebrain nuclei and fiber tracts. The cingulate gyrus that is a part of the cerebral cortex is involved in emotions associated with pain, fear, and motivation.
