Explanation of Solution

Enterprise processes:

Enterprise processes provide the organization to sustain longer and also it supports the activities performed in various departments.

Example: In a corporate company, the process of recruiting a person supports activities in financial department, the employee’s specialized department, and so on.

Enterprise Information System:

This system supports more than one enterprise processes.

Challenges in upgrading Enterprise Information Systems:

There are five challenges in upgrading enterprise information systems. They are:

• Collaborative Management
• Requirements Gaps
• Transition Problems
• New technology
• Employee resistance

Collaborative management:

Collaborative management is nothing but the management working in groups which plans, co-ordinate, and monitor the organization. Here, there is no a single boss in enterprise application. If any problem occurs, they resolve on their own.

Requirement Gaps:

In an enterprise system, it is difficult to identify requirements. Even if the requirements are identified, the main challenge is to decide what to do with the identified needs.

Transition Problems:

Transitioning one enterprise system to a new enterprise system is a very difficult process. It requires suitable planning and training.

New Technology:

If any new technology arrives, it affects the enterprise system because it may be developed in such a way that it overcomes all the challenges.

Employee resistance:

Employees resist change because it requires struggles and causes fear.

Collaborative Enterprise system:

Enterprise system must be collaborative because to resolve the clashes...
