To find: the solution of inequality equation and verify the solution.

Answer to Problem 7E
23<x<12 .
Explanation of Solution
Given:
log5(2x+1)>log4(3x−2).
Concept used:
In exponential form using the definition of the logarithm. If x and b are positive real numbers and b does not equal to 1 ,then:
logb(x)=y which is equivalent to the by=x .
logxa=alogx.
The value or domain inside the logarithm is always greater than 0 .
Calculation:
According to the given:
log5(2x+1)>log4(3x−2).
By putting x=2 .
log5(2(2)+1)<log4(3(2)−2).log5(5)<log4(4).1<1.
Since, the same number is greater than same number which is not possible but the value inside the logarithm must be greater than 0.
2x+1>0x>−12.x<12.3x−2>0.x>23.
Hence, the solution of the inequality equation is:
23<x<12 .
