Hormones are molecules that are released from the gland recognized as endocrine glands into the bloodstream and travel throughout the body thereby altering other cells’ activity. Hormones affect bone composition and growth patterns by modulating the rates of chondrocyte, osteoblast, and osteoclast activity.
