Introduction

Language is described as the ability to communicate information through the use of symbols organized according to grammar rules. By these thorough set of rules, humans are the only ones known to use language, though it is debatable whether or not apes can as well. While lower animals do have their own communication systems, there are properties that distinguish them from true language.
