Introduction: The human body is always in a state of dynamic equilibrium. It is important to maintain the constant state of the body in spite of changing environment. The process of maintaining a stable state of the body in spite of changes in the environment is called homeostasis.

Introduction: Glucose metabolism is necessary to provide energy for the proper functioning of the cells. The rate of glucose metabolism is dependent on the blood glucose level and two different hormones are responsible for maintaining blood glucose level namely, glucagon and insulin. Glucagon increases the blood glucose level and insulin decreases the blood glucose level.
