Business-to-business marketing refers to the process of selling and buying of goods and services that are to be used in the production of other goods and services for consumption by way of the buying agency and or resale by the way of wholesalers and outlets.

Examples of 4 types of Business-to-business organizations are as follow,

  • Manufactures/producers transform the goods into a sellable products. Best example of Manufacturer or producer is Company F which is a multinational automaker which sells automobiles and commercial vehicles.
  • Reseller: These people will buy finished products and sell them to customers for making profits. Company N is the best example for reseller. It is a Country U chain of luxury department stores.
  • Institution: Institutional marketing includes churches, hospitals, and colleges. For example: University J.
  • Governments: These can buy goods and services to support the internal operations. Example: Country U federal government.
