Summary Introduction

A nasal septum deviation may cause a serious nasal block as it reduces the airflow, causing breathing difficulty. If a deviated septum is exposed to the drying effect, then crusting or bleeding of the nose may occur. Nasal obstruction may also occur due to inflammation of the tissues lining the nose. This condition can be treated by nasal dilators, drugs that reduce the swelling, or surgery.
