Question
Chapter 6.2, Problem 6.4CP
Program Plan Intro
Function:
One of the building blocks of C++
- The function “main()” is the most important function in a program, because the “main()” function is the starting point of the program.
- The main advantage of using a function is that it reuses and reduces the code size of the program, because a function can be called for a multiple numbers of times.
Function call:
The statement which causes the function to execute is referred as function call.
- A function can be called by name of the function and the return type should not be specified before the function call.
- The function call statement should end with a semicolon.
Example for function call:
//Calling the function
display();
In the above example, the function call is made by calling its function name “display()” and the function call is terminated with the semicolon.
