Interpretation:

The final temperature of water is to be calculated after mixing two samples of water having different temperatures.

Concept Introduction:

The heat required to change the temperature of a substance is affected by the mass and the specific heat of the substance. The mixing of two substances having different temperatures leads to a mixture for which the temperature will lie somewhere in the middle of the temperatures of the given two substances. The magnitude of heat change for one substance is the same as the magnitude of heat change for the other substance.
