Explanation of Solution
Cloud:
The term cloud can be defined as the process that led the computer resources to be accessed anytime anywhere over the internet. The cloud can be represented as the elastic leasing of the various computer resources that are known as the pooled resources that can be accessed over the internet.
Explanation about the key terms:
In the definition for the cloud the key term that has been used are discussed as follows:
Elastic:
- The term elastic has been used in the definition meaning that the amount of resources can be increased or decreased in any point of time.
- The organization can use the computer resources and they can pay for their various resources that have been used for many organizational activities.
- In order to run any particular website the organization can also be able to buy some space in the cloud in order to maintain the organizational activities over the internet rapidly.
Pooled:
- In general, most of the cloud resources are pooled because the hardware components are similar for many organizations.
- Cloud resources are considered to be pooled since different organizations are sharing the same physical hardware resources using the virtualization.
- Virtualization allows the rapid making of new virtual machines. And it will increase the accessibility of company’s system with reduced cost.
Over the internet:
- The cloud has been implemented in order to access the computing resources from anywhere and anytime over the internet.
- Hence using the internet connectivity the computer resources can be accessed and shared for any organizational activities over the internet.
Comparison between cloud based and In-house hosting:
The cloud and the in-house hosting are having certain positive and negative impacts which are discussed as follows:
Cloud based hosting:
Advantage of Cloud based hosting | Disadvantage of cloud based hosting |
The primary advantage of implementing the cloud based hosting is that it needs very less capital for implementation. | There are certain negative impacts of implementing the cloud based hosting because it purely depends on the vendor. |
The cloud based hosting contains more rapid development and is more flexible and adaptable to accept any growing demands. |
There is no proper control |
In-house hosting:
Advantage of in-house hosting | Disadvantage of in-house hosting |
The primary advantage of implementing the in-house hosting is that it has more control for the location of the data. | The primary negative impact of implementing the in-house hosting is that it needs a significant amount of capital and more effort for the development. |
The security is more and it is possible to achieve in-depth for the various security measures and disaster recovery. | Need to maintain the annual and supporting cost since it requires the training of various staff and other personnel. It is hard to maintain the changing demands and the cost for implementation is uncertain. |
Factors of cloud:
The three important factors which makes cloud-hosting better for on-site hosting are as follows:
- It’s cost
- The cloud-hosting requires very less capital for implementation.
- Flexibility and adaptability
- The cloud-hosting contains rapid development and is more flexible and adaptable to accept any growing demands.
- Best of breed security
- Breed security can encourage all companies, because disasters are common in every organization.

- Draw a system/level-0 diagram for this scenario: You are developing a new customer relationship management system for the BEC store, which rents out movies to customers. Customers will provide comments on new products, and request rental extensions and new products, each of which will be stored into the system and used by the manager for purchasing movies, extra copies, etc. Each month, one employee of BEC will select their favorite movie pick of that week, which will be stored in the system. The actual inventory information will be stored in the Entertainment Tracker system, and would be retrieved by this new system as and when necessary. The main() method asks the user to provide the dimension n for a square matrix. A square matrix has an equal number of rows and columns. b. The main() method receives the value of n and calls the matrixSetUp() method that creates a square matrix of size n and populates it randomly with integers between 1 and 9. c. The main method then calls another method named printMatrix() to display the matrix in a matrix format. d. The main method also calls a method named findSumAndAverage() which: • Receives the generated matrix as input. • Calculates the sum of all elements in the matrix. • Calculates the average value of the elements in the matrix. • Stores these values (sum and average) in a single-dimensional array and returns this array • e.
