Introduction:

Viruses either have deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) but not both. Viruses have six types of nucleic acid configurations that include:double-stranded DNA, single-stranded RNA, double-stranded RNA, single-stranded DNA, positive-sense RNA, and negative-sense RNA.
