“Yes”, the function can have same name for local variable and global variable.

Reason:

In same function, it is not possible to have same name for two local variables. But, it is possible to have the name of global variable as the name of local variable.

• This means the global variable name is hidden by the local variable name.
• That is, the function can access the local variable name, not global variable name.
