To review: The difference between a synergist muscle and a prime mover. On this basis, predict how can a prime mover be considered as an antagonist.
Introduction:
The movement is brought about by the contraction produced in the muscles. An uncontrolled contraction can lead to a condition called tetanus in which the muscle fails to relax. Thus, a group of muscles always work together in causing a movement of contraction and relaxation.
