Introduction: Resistance of material is a measure of obstructionto the flow of electrons and transform electrical energy into other forms of energy, such as, thermal energy.

Resistors are objects designed to resist the flow of electrons. Once electrons flow through a resistor, some energy is transferred to the resistor. Resistance of a materialis itsproperty to resist the flow of electrons and transform electrical energy into other forms of energy, such as, thermal energy.

Therefore, when a laptop is used for an hour, it gets heated, as the resistors in it convert some of the electrical energy into thermal energy (heat).

Conclusion: The heating of a laptop after using it for an hour is due to the conversion of electrical energy into heat by the resistors in it.
