Question
Chapter 54.3, Problem 2C
Summary Introduction
To explain: The way in which structural complexity of a community is related to species richness.
Introduction: Species richness, species diversity, and species evenness are different from one community to another community and are influenced by various abiotic and biotic factors. Within a community, the measurement of both the number of species and the relative importance of each species as per their productivity, size, or abundance is known as species diversity. The number of species in a community is mainly determined by calculating the species of interest known as species richness.
