To explain:

The method used by researcher to determine the population sizes of leopard frog after metamorphosis of some of the tadpoles.

Given:

A researcher wants to count the leopard frog tadpoles present in a pond in the spring. Later, after the tadpoles have metamorphosed, she wants to compare this number with the size of frog population.

Introduction:

Frogs are mobile organisms whose counting is a very tedious process. In most of the cases, mobile organisms move out of the marked area and in other cases, the other organisms enter into the marked area from elsewhere. In the given case, researcher can use mark-recapture method to investigate the population size of leopard frog.
