The enantiomeric excess (ee) is a measurement of purity for chiral substance. Further it is reflected the degree to which a sample containes one enantiomers in greater amounts than the other.
The optically pure solution containing 100% of the d-enantiomer and 0% of the l-enantiomer would have an enantiomeric excess of 100%.
