Introduction:

Species diversification rate is the rate, at which new species are formed and the already existing species extinct. This is also known as speciation rate. It can be measured by data from fossils, phylogenetic trees or diversity of clades and their ages. Species diversification time purposes that the amount of time over which speciation takes place in a particular region.
