Introduction:

The genetic material of a cell is found in both the nucleus and cytoplasm. The characteristic inheritance is encoded by the genes found in the cytoplasm of a cell. It includes genes found in mitochondria, chloroplast, and polyribosomes. The cytoplasm is contributed entirely by any one of the parents, either maternal or paternal. In most of the organisms, it is inherited from female parent.
