Introduction:

Hair consists of filaments of keratinized cells. They are present in almost all parts of our body, leaving a few. They differ in sizes and shapes and also their functions, depending on their location. The hair root has different regions known as dermal papilla, hair receptors and arrector muscle cells which have different functions in a hair. These functions are described in the following paragraph.
