Behavioral ecology is the study dealing with study of behavior at organismal level from molecular level to ecosystem level. All organisms behave and respond in different ways to various external stimuli. The success of their survival depends on these adopted behaviors. The behavior or cause of any organisms or an event can be explained in two ways on the basis of the mechanism (proximate) and on the basis of evolution (ultimate).
