Open Shortest Path First (OSPF):
OSPF is a link state
- Each router in the network sends a packet with the corresponding timestamp. This timestamp measures the time of the packets traversed to and from a neighboring router.
- After the router collected the link state packets from its neighbors, it constructs a routing table using Dijkstra’s least cost algorithm.
- Thus, the OSPF works based upon the timestamp; if the node in the “Denver” is crashed then it passes the information more quickly to all other nodes in the network.
