Question
Chapter 5, Problem 9CAT
Program Plan Intro
Alias:
- It is nothing but another name given for an existing table name. During the usage of “FROM” clause, the user can give an alias name for the table names so that, the user need not to mention the table name each time rather, he/ she can use the alias name.
- Usually an alias name will be simple and it might be a short form of the table name. Example for a “CUSTOMER” table, the alias name can be give as “C” or “CUS” according to the user’s comfort.
Specifying alias in SQL:
In SQL, the format to give an alias name is as follows:
Table_Name alias_Name
AND Operator:
In SQL, “AND” keyword is used in order to check two and more than two conditions. This usually works well with “WHERE” clause.
Syntax:
SELECT * FROM table_Name WHERE condition1 AND condition2;
