Summary Introduction

Case report: Person R is concerned about a patch which is developed on his back of the neck and lately it becomes itchy and reddened. The patch is now bleeding and crusting. His wife advises Person R to see a skin specialist. After performing several tests, the skin specialist recognized that patch as a basal cell carcinoma and she described that these cancer types rarely spread to other sites of the body. The skin specialist advises that tumor is removed by using methods in which cancer consisting of thin skin layer are removed progressively and examined microscopically until only cancer-free tissue remains.
