1. It is confusing especially if the person moves to the United States. In the early stages of the digital era, some systems in the US had a very rigid way on how to collect and stored names. They only had space for a name, a middle name and a last name. What to do with the second Last name? What if the person had only one name and two last names?
Sometimes the system would automatically take the first last name as the middle name.

Example: Rosa Vargas Vedoya She only has a name no middle name and two last names.

Rosa V. Vedoya that’s how it would come up but that is incorrect. Isn’t it?

2. I would eliminate the word de, however, it is not as easy as one might think. Sometimes the computer systems to calculate benefits, insurance and other things make it hard to change it.
