Introduction: A skeleton is a structure that provides support and protection and also plays an important role in locomotion. Exoskeletons and endoskeletons are the two major types of skeletons found in animals. The exoskeleton is found in arthropods and crustaceans. Endoskeleton is found in some species of sponges and all echinoderms and vertebrates.
