Introduction:

Biodiversity hotspots are biogeographic regions in which unique flora and fauna are present. Destructive activities highly threaten these regions. Species in these regions are endemic to the specific environment. Biodiversity hotspot concept was first introduced by the scientist Norman Myers in 1988. Myers defined these regions as a biologically richest and highly endangered terrestrial ecoregion.
