To determine: The way in which human central nervous system (CNS) is protected.
Introduction: The central nervous system of the humans is a part of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain along with the spinal cord. The CNS acts as the central control unit of the nervous system in humans. In all human beings, it is very important to carefully protect the CNS. The human body is evolved in such a way to protect the components of the human CNS in a well-defined manner. Any kind of damage to the CNS can cause impaired functioning of the human body.
To determine: The functions of cerebrospinal fluid.
Introduction: Inside the bony protection, the brain and the spinal cord are covered by a triple layer of connective tissues, which is known as meninges. The three layers of the connective tissues include: the dura mater; the arachnoid; and the pia mater. Space between the arachnoid and the pia mater is called the subarachnoid space and contains the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
