Botox is basically a derivative of Botulinum toxin that is nowadays used for cosmetic purposes. Botox injections are widely being used to treat wrinkles in the adults. Botulinum toxin produced by Clostridium botulinum, is basically known to cause food poisoning, but it has another function to inhibit neurotransmitter acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction.
