Summary Introduction
To predict: Whether it is possible for a child to have blood group O if the blood group of a father and mother is A and B, respectively.
Introduction: The human blood group is an example of codominance. A gene has two pairs of alleles that are either dominant or recessive. Usually, in heterozygotes, the dominant allele masks the expression of recessive allele and so only, the dominant allele is expressed. Codominance is a type of dominance in which both the alleles of a heterozygous gene are co-expressed, resulting in a trait that is neither dominant nor recessive.
