Introduction:
The thyroid gland is an important endocrine gland, which is located below Adam’s apple in neck area. Hyperthyroidism is a condition, where a large number of thyroid hormones are produced by the gland; whereas, lack of thyroid hormones causes a condition called hypothyroidism. Both of the conditions are dangerous and cause goiter in the patient.
