Introduction: Connective tissue supports, binds, and connects organs and tissue. Connective tissue is relatively composed of few cells that are suspended in proteins of the extracellular matrix that is embedded in a jellylike, liquid, or solid material. There are three major components present in all the connective tissues, which include cells, fibers (collagenous and elastic fibers), and ground substance.
