Comparative modeling is one of the commonly used and accurate methods for protein structure determination. It predicts the structure of an unknown protein, using known information, from one or more homologous partners.
The fold recognition method of protein modeling is used to identify the proteins that have the same folds as proteins of known structures, but do not have homologous proteins with known structures.
