To determine:

The reason for the bacterial DNA is transcribed and the RNA is correctly processed, but only the protein nearest the promoter is produced as bacterial DNA containing operon encoding three enzymes is introduced into chromosomal DNA in yeast in such a way that it is properly flanked by a promoter and a transcriptional terminator.

Concept introduction:

In a prokaryotic cell, transcription and translation are coupled together that means that translation begins while the m-RNA is still being synthesized. In eukaryotic cell, transcription occurs in the nucleus, and translation occurs in the cytoplasm. Translation involves three major steps that are initiation, elongation, and the termination.
