Chapter 4, Problem 3FIB
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Oil immersion is a microscopic technique used to get a better resolving power of a microscope. It is used to fill the space between the lens and the specimen to reduce the light refraction thus by increasing the resolution and numerical aperture. This is acquired by the immersion of the objective lens and the specimen in transparent oil, which has a high refractive index.
