Microbes are measured in terms of units. The measurement unit should be smaller than the object that is going to be measured. Simpler and standard usage of measurements is followed worldwide in order to measure the objects. The unit of measurement has metric units such as meter, decimeter, centimeter, and millimeter; but the microbes are even smaller to measure. Therefore, the units, such as micrometer and nanometer have to be used.
