Introduction:

Cambium is the tissue present in the plants between the xylem and the phloem. The main function of cambium is to provide secondary growth to the plant, or we can say provide thickness to the plants. It is the thin layer of the cells. Xylem and phloem are the tissues involved in the transportation of food and water in the plants. They are the vascular tissues of the plant and together they form the vascular bundles.
