The epidermis usually composed of five different layers, namely the stratum spinosum, the stratum corneum, the stratum basale, the stratum lucidium, and the stratum granulosum. The stratum lucidium layers among these layers are present in the epidermis of the palms of the hands as well as the feet soles.
