Introduction:

The younger plants release certain components that form a layer around the cell. This layer is termed as primary wall. It lies after the cell wall. The primary wall has the ability to grow and mature. The mature primary wall releases some secretions such as lignin. These secretions get deposited at the inner surface of primary wall. This deposition forms another layer known as secondary wall. The secondary wall is formed on the “inner surface” of primary wall.
