To Review:
The scientist may choose light microscopy or electron microscopy in different research.
Introduction:
Microscope is an instrument, which is very important for the visualization of the cells and its particles. There are two types of microscope techniques, which are broadly used now-a-days. These are light microscopy and electron microscopy.
Explanation of Solution
The electron microscopy is used to visualize the ultrastructure of the cells. It gives a resolution, which can help to view particles of nm in size. Light microscopy is less efficient in resolution power it provides a resolution up to ~1200nm. The electron microscopy does not allow us to work with the living cell and observe the live results, so, in such research, where the live cells are used, the light microscope is the only choice. But the light microscopy provide a less resolution, so, when the scientist wants to view a particular structure in details, they can use electron microscope.
The light microscope is used for the researches, which involve living cells and broader visualization. The electron microscope is used, when the fine particles are need to be observed.
