Program Plan Intro

Spreadsheet:

• People use spreadsheet in order to do calculations and also they create charts. The rows and columns in a spreadsheet are called as worksheet.
  • Example: Microsoft Excel. It contains many worksheets.
• In a worksheet, only few cells are visible at a time which can be further extended by scrolling it.
• In a spreadsheet, the information is organized in rows (data is stored horizontally) and columns (data is stored vertically).

Database:

• It is a collection of data which are stored in an organized way so that they can be easily accessed, managed and updated.
• Information will be organized in rows and columns.
• Database is used to store, retrieve, re-organize or create reports from the information.
