“SELECT” command:

The “SELECT” command is used to retrieve data in a database.

Syntax for selecting values from the table is as follows:

SELECT STUDENT_ID FROM STUDENT;

• The given query is used to display each student ID from “STUDENT” table.

SQL Wildcard:

• There are two wildcard symbol are used for Oracle and SQL Server.
• One wildcard symbol is percent (“%”) and another one is underscore (“_”).
  • The percent sign “%” is used to indicate any set of characters.
  • The underscore sign “_” is used to indicate any individual character.
